Wow ! i can see why you don't want your UU version out in the mud as i don't think i would either after looking through your thread as it just looks to amazing to even consider getting it dirty and you made an excellent job of restoring the XT Trekker to and tbh i'd be happy to just take that for a quick spin but given the choice  :) ..

Took some photos today of the old girl as she was on allotment duties.

I fitted a pink NOS Cosmic trail frame bag this morning too.

What do you reckon, sick i know

Your bike looks great although i'm not a fan of pink or fanny paks as they were called either  ..

I totally understand your reasoning for buying it due to it's excellent condition but i couldn't bring myself to ride a pink bike as i was to self concious riding a DB Topanga with flourescent pink forks and handle bars and the decals but that was soon cured when some t-leaf stole it  and those frame bags were a good idea but couldn't be fitted to smaller framed bikes if you fitted a bottle cage ..

Thats not a fanny pak, its a frame bag. A fanny pak is american for bum bag!

These frame bags were known as Fanny Paks in the late 80's and my mum use to have a bum bag so i know what your reffering to lol ..

I used to have one, we used to carry bikes up mountains a lot BITD . So I bought one for 99p for my current trekker, it looks rediculous!!
