1990 Fat Chance Yo Eddy - Team Grello

A few years ago I owned one of these and sold it because it was too small. I knew I'd own another, and I was all over this when it popped up on Fatcogs. This is a super early Yo. The serial says it's production Yo #6. I'm sure many more were made before, but not a lot. Rare original "Team Grello" fade paint as seen in the December 1990 Mountain Biker test.

This is no cream puff. Its scratched, scuffed, dented, and rusted. Hence, I'm beating the crap out of it until it gives. And then I'll likely beat on it more. I raced this to victory in the 2013 Keyesville Classic.

For anyone unfamiliar with Yos, these are fantastic riding bikes. Stable and stiff at speed yet it steers quick. It acts like it weighs three lbs less than it does. This was one of those "must haves" as a kid and it hopefully will never leave my garage.

Last year and 2010. Thanks.

Pedersens... lever feel is poor, but stopping power is solid.

Lovely bike and extra cool because it is still being ridden as designed, to win!

I hope to get my Wicked out for a race this summer as well.

Class with top photos as usual.

Any more back story with it being No. 6 (leaving aside the obvious The Prisoner references)?

Just the serial number (006 = frame 6, Z = early Yo code, 0 = 1990, 7 = 17")
