Help with Marin frame numbers please!

F05LAC004 - 1995 Team Titanium ?

Hello - Another newbie with a Marin Identify question. Not new to retro, just new to posting. So, I got a cracked frame in a pile of retro parts a while back. Crack is bad enough to probably chuck the frame, but I might give it a lash if this is an old one, let it see a few more miles before shuffling off.

Read the thread, gleaned a lot of info from it, but I have a slightly different number system than the rest.

Frame code is F05LAC004. There is a 50 02 written across under the cable guide, and BT 0261 on the other side. There are no decals, other than an outline white MARIN on the downtube with silver shadowing, two USA stickers, and a Special Tubing one on the seat tube.

The first zero is throwing me, as I was expecting a model number greater that zero. Apparently, it's a Team Ti frame, but I won't believe that just yet. It does appear to be a 17.5 frame though, which matches the early comments.

So, Gods of Retro, can I be another 'what have I got' poster?

Looks like Ti, but not quite as shiny, but that could just be the finish. Doesn't take a magnet, and isn't burly enough to be alu.

Here's a few kitchen floor snaps including the horrendous crack.

1995 Titanium it is then

Serial has a 1995 year, decals agree with this.
Clearly has no paint an it from the pictures. Everything has too sharp an edge and clear definition, magnets not sticking and it is not Alu.
The head tube ,mounted stop put it as as Marin with 'team' in the name.

Thank you kindly. I'll see if I can get that Weld on it so. I expect not, as it's the join and a compound break around the bottom of the down tube. Might be able to get it going as a rare use jobbie.

Help with Marin frame number please!

Apologies again - I can see that over the years, there have been several Marin Frame Number ID requests and I'd like to submit a request for mine, from one of you nice knowledgable people. I am in the UK and have bought a used Marin bike but would be pleased to have it identified. It has two numbers: F157ESD034 and then 3715D on the other side.

Could someone let me know what these numbers mean, for my bike please?

Many thanks

Hi, the F1 bit would make it a team marin, tange ultimate steel. The next , i think, would be the year (1995).

Does it look like this?

cheers. note first cable stop on head tube, rather than down tube.

No. Nothing like this. I have tried to upload an image and I hope it appears ok
