So what rides has anyone got planned for June?
looks empty at the start until the joint venture with t'other Yorkies at the CTC in York or the Mayhem lot.

June 23rd - York Cycle Show Ride In Association With The NE Posse
A nice steady social ride through the vale of York and taking in the annual York Cycle Show & Jumble!

June 21st to 23rd - Mountain Mayhem

Any Lincoln's got anything planned ?

Anyone fancy a pootle around Howardian Hills or Wetwang area ?

I'm going on the Dambusters ride next Sunday then riding my local route the following Sunday, again working on improving the ride for August if the South Yorks route is still up as the monthly ride.

Nothing else planned as that's the month covered for me pretty much.

York cycle show has been canceled :(
So maybe we want to do something else now ?
Go ride some hills with the other Yorkshire peeps?

Hi guys.

I'll need some sort of agreement on this but, regarding the cancellation of the ctc at york...It can stay, well, for the date and time anyway.

THEME.

The route up to york is flat and easy. BUT, with no jumble we need a cause for going there, right?

I know york centre pretty well and propose an alternative to mtb for that day. I know some riders have hybrids and commuter bikes so, let's run that as a theme. HYBRID. on/off road retrobikes that cut all manner of mustard! the extra miles ought to compensate for the loss of the jumble.

I can tour us round york centre to include, the minster, shambles, dick turpin's grave and mc donalds! what more do you want? A few posey pics on the WALL would just be a blast too.

The whole deal is more tarmac than what i would like, but at least 20 of the miles are technically off-road.

What say you lot?

Sound great to me and as you may know I'm not totally against a spot or urban riding. It'll be a good excuse to break out my Rockhopper or the 'Far Too Shiny' Nishiki before I sell it hehe

I'll put some thought and organisation to it. There is an original roman pillar at the side of the minster, let's have a look at that too.

cliffords tower( nr mr turpins' permanent residency) is worth a look see. tourists pay good dollar to see these places, i'll escort you round for a cornish pasty. ;)

Sounds great to me too, did you all know Dick Turpin was finally captured in the Green Dragon pub where we all drink after our Wednesday evening rides?

I didn't know that chris. his grave is now concreted over, he was dug up at some point. I reckon it was a disgruntled landlord at the green dragon for not paying for the booze.
