You can have any bike you like as long as it's Orange

Aluminium Ohhh

Retro Guru
It all started around 1990 with the purchase of a his and hers Claud Butler Pagan in purple.God that bike was heavy but pretty bomb proof, we even took them on honeymoon to Verbier in 1993. I then started to get into MTBs in a bigger way, I rode a friends Kona and couldnt believe the difference to my Claude. The out on a long ride I tried another friends Orange P7 and that was it, I sold the Claude and set about finding a P7 when after a while the Aluminium O came up, I travelled up to Yorkshire and bought it from a young lad that was racing so the bike had plenty of upgrades on it. As you see it now its pretty much as it was then other that I cracked the middleburn cranks so replaced with Suntour as all I could afford and the rear mech went through the back wheel so that was replaced.

So roll on twenty years, I guess the want for a Orange P7 never went away, I bought a complete lemon on ebay, stripped it learnt a lot of lessons then found Retrobike.
I bought a 21" P7 frame from a member, stripped it back to bare nickel and had it laquered. I bought new graphics from Gil but I like the stealthy look so have kept with this for now. Im still playing around with the headset height and not sure if the Syncros stem looks a bit heavy, the original Sk8 stems were very skinny (opinions appreciated).
The bike is a joy to ride and weighs 22.8lb.

Then it all started getting a bit daft, after a too few many glasses one night I couldnt say no to a lovely 19" 1995 E3 (thank you you know who you are). This was a bike I could never of dreamed of back in the 90's but have set it up for the wife and Im currenly on the look out for a few bits that will mybe give me the room to ride it as well.
So my Orange affair has truly started and I'm loving it!
