Re: The Hi-Fi Chat and sales thread

You have enough 'stuff' to lose a phono amp? Lucky man! What else you got? :D

Re: The Hi-Fi Chat and sales thread

Right, I've got a pair of Celestion Ditton 15 speakers in not brilliant condition, my question is would I be better off selling the drivers separately?

Re: The Hi-Fi Chat and sales thread

Thanks for the reply and link. I agree on the eBay costs, a total rip off along with paypal.

Re: The Hi-Fi Chat and sales thread

15XRs fetch more than original 15's.

The last five pairs of speakers I've sold, I've 'broken' and made far more for the drivers. Witness the Goodmans Magnums I sold. Not a bite at £9.99 start. Sold the drivers for over £140 as separate parts. The bass units went for £80 for the pair!

Agree about eBay / PayPal costs, but what choice is there? They've got you by the short and curlies if you want an effective way to sell stuff.

Re: The Hi-Fi Chat and sales thread

Looks like I'll be breaking them up then - just as well as the cabinets are knackered anyway. Seems a shame but that's economics.
