Building this rod brake dump find on no budget with whatever I can rustle together..

Here's some pics

Needs a 26.0 seatpost...

Handmade Leather grips! I made these a couple of years ago for a rohloff touring bike...

Raleigh burner brakes! The only thing with a big enoug drop...

Still trying to figure this one out...

At least you're not going to need a padlock! ;)

Back wheel is cool....what is the purpose of the build?

Looks like fun.
Scavenger builds are always my favourite. Mainly for being the only way I can afford to build a bike, haha.

Now got some other forks from lfgss forum and resprayed them black with a rattle can... Still need to get some good quality calipers so I can figure out what size the seatpost is.. 26.0 was way off..

Those forks above were cast offs I was given by someone.. The original forks that I found with the bike were even worse!

Ill put up anuther up another pic when I get home next week..

Riding really nice.. Just put on a 1950's brooks b15 (like a b17 but tougher hide), took it to the shops to buy some milk..

I almost think this could be my regular ride, beats all the smart bikes ive got in the shed for laid back comfort.
