Pedal and Brake blocks - some advice/direction needed

Morning all,

Could anyone please give me some ideas as to pedals for my wife's mixte - the following should explain what i want -
Not expensive
Quill type - ish
Toe clips / straps will not be used
Not clipless either
Some style
Alloy or chrome finish

Possible pedals types, ideas, links, or items for sale would assist greatly.

Also, where can i get older brake blocks - mounted in steel shoes.

Thanks for the link BUT this is where i am coming from - those pedals are made for use with clips and straps - is there another alternative type of pedal? Without the sticky out bit.

I am tired and i do not think i am making much sense.

But but ... do track pedals not have cages? I want old style non-cage and non-cage fittable. Have i gone wrong somewhere?
