Hey, I'm starting to restore my 94 GT Zaskar LE and the decals are really warn out. My plans are to remove the decals and send the frame to get polished. What is the best way to remove the decals as its quite hard to remove them with just a bit of heat. Cheers Rob

I know Argos use a solvent to dissolve the adhesive, I guess something like thinners or acetone would do it.

I have always used a hair dryer to get the decal off, then washed the goo off with thinners.

I bought some spray sticker remover from Lidl... it does not remove decals !

I too have a 1994 Zaskar, tried hairdrier, wouldn't touch em. I think they are so bake on they'll need to be scraped off in bits
unless I can find a chemical to remove.

They must have had a batch of superglue in the factory in late 93 !

Need to get mine re-decalled & rebuilt in time for it's 20th Birthday race in August.

PMSL.

20 years! OMG, that had not occurred to me, I'll have to check the frame number on mine, I think it's March or April 94 when it was made.
