Alpinestars AlMega Tyre choice??

Good evening

Upon closer inspection my tyres are shagged.
As such I need replacements

I like the retro style of amber wall tyres but would have a clue where to find em or which ones to get if you can still get then these days.
If not any recommendations folks?

which year is your Al Mega?

there's a wanted section which you can use to ask for specific items/tyres.....

Do you know that's a good question, rather embarrassingly I don't know.
It's the estay model, AlMega DX with fluoro yellow forks and rear with white tubes.
Can you help me days it?
Can't take any pics as my iPhone won't link pics :cry:

it's a '91 model so I'd use up to 2.1 tyres on it.

Are the tyres I'm looking for called amber walled tyres or something else? Any idea what it came with originally I've been trying to find the original spec but am having trouble. Sorry to be dim I have been away from the scene since... Well, '93 or so!

you could use the google search box in the top right hand corner for "amber wall tyres 2.1 for sale" or put a wanted ad in the wanted section.
You'll probably find you'll have some PM's from sellers with some available shortly after they see this thread.

Didn't they spec ritchey megabites or alphabites on 90/92 bikes.

You could always put on ritchey z max as easyer to find and of course you can get a brand new pair of re issues
