Re: What on Earth is this bonded piece on carbon/alloy (FOUN

wow - so many responses - So I think it's narrowed down to a Univega Carbolite and Giant Cadex, This frame was just bought for a project, but to me it looks slightly too nice to cut to pieces

I will wait until it arrives to check it for damage (bought it for a few parts on the frame- not the actual frame ;) ) to see whether it's going to get used but I am slightly nervous about the whole bonded alloy to carbon thing, and whether it will fail when pushed to the extremes  - Does anyone know if these were/are reliable.

i would be concerned of pushing any 20 year old frame to the limit to be honest!

I do tend to agree - but currently running an M-Trax 2000 Ti (1994/5) - whcih I do tend to end up throwing about quite a bit (no drops/jumps quite classable as downhill though  )

I guess this is confirmed that it will used as a donor bike :|
