My projects: 3 GT RTS

Hi! These are my 3 GT RTS frames. The RTS-2 and 3 they need a lot of work, the RTS Team is in great shape.

GT RTS Team '94

Main frame: Al 6061-T6
Rear triangle: Al 6061-T6
Shock: Noleen NR3 Piggyback

GT RTS-2 '94

Main frame: Al 6061-T6
Rear triangle: Chromoly with rear hanger derailleur
Shock: Noleen NR3 Piggyback

GT RTS-3 '95 (repainted by the original owner with the 1 instead of 3)

Main frame: Al 7005
Rear triangle: Chromoly without rear hanger derailleur
Shock: Noleen NR1 (needs a rebuilt)










Rock Shox Indy S and Shimano XT M739 8s shifters, NOS from China.

There is a lot of work to do, but I'm really happy, the GT RTS was one of my dream bikes and now I have 3! :mrgreen: It's hard to find some of the components (sometimes the distance is a problem and I can't get international shipping to my country) but I have almost everything I need and a lot of patience... the most important thing in this!

2 purple RTS's ! Lucky so-and-so, I love the purple ones!

Was the purple rts team/1 on eBay a few weeks ago (6 or 7)
Looking good they all are,
You can't have too many rts's! (I have 2)

Hi there, I am new to this site, was hoping for some advice if possible.
I have a purple GT RTS 3 and was thinking of selling it. Was wondering what I should be looking to get for it?

Do they all have flat end caps?

What do you mean by flat end caps? Does it make a difference to the value?

Yes.

How do i tell?

The ones made in the usa (rts team & rts1) models are made from 6061 aluminium and they have the same end cap as the usa made gt zaskar's

The others were made in the Far East and have a different type of end cap,as well as being made from 7005 aluminium they will have a different serial number with letters at the start then numbers after.
The usa made ones have just numbers on them.
