Mine has the two hole option, seems like that is the solution rather than moaning about frame design. The original mech looked wrong to me but after inspecting mine, it still wears its original cable guide so the cable sits right whatever mech is used.

For £1.99 i would rather have one that is less likely to fail, also the bolt would interfere with the brake cable.
