Hi all, im looking to swap my 1998 gt lts 2000. the paint is not in the best of shape but its good as a user rather than a garage queen. Im looking to get a decent hard tail for it maybe a zaskar or a kona or something nice. anyhow, on with the spec.
med gt lts 2000 frame, original bushes that have been stripped and re greased, one of the horst links has a bolt rather than the chainring bolt but works ok. the frame has a dent on the down tube but not in a stressed area and doesnt affect the operation of the bike. rear shock is fine holds pressure all adjusters do what the are meant to and the trunnion moves freely.
drivetrain is a deore groupset with a new cassette and chain, xtr r/h shifter and deore l/h. IT has a triple deore chainset with a deore front mech as opposed to the single in the picture.
brakes are hope c2 with the non frame mount adaptor on the rear. this has a groove going through it where a previous owner allowed the disc bolts to protrude, it works just fine and i have replaced the bolts. new pads front and back.
forks are marzocchi bomber junior t. they have had a new seal kit and new 7.5w oil and funtion fine, the adjusters work and there is no wear on the stanchions although the paint on the legs is not great.
bars and stem are tioga
wheels are mavic D521 on hope bulbs.
pedals are generic v8 copys.
front tyre is a kona sniff, rear is a conti speed king.
some of the photo's dont reflect the current spec but it is as ive listed it.
probably not the most appealing advert but im not going to sugar coat it, its a good bike works well and is fun to ride just not a great looker and full sus just isnt for me. To give an honest pricing I paid 180 for it last august and have paid out a lot more in getting it road worthy, the seal kit for the forks and subsequent service, the shifters, chainset, mechs, well complete drive train diddnt come cheap so it easily owes me 400 but im realistic so im pricing it at around the 250 mark for swap value.
