Colnago Master MTB

Re: My Colnago Master MTB

Thanks,
I got the Rigida's cheap  , and was thinking of Campy rims, but I went ahead and built up,
I have another MTB project, and pinarello, which I may use this wheelset on, to be honest, I doubt this frame while see much dirt action, perhaps some beach front or urban posing  , so I was thinking on shcwalbe supermoto's in the biggest size to give it the 'pimp my..'' MTB look

Re: My Colnago Master MTB

Wow! That looks great.

Fantastic job on the frame and I can't wait to see how it turns out with that groupset.

Re: My Colnago Master MTB

getting there needs cables, I was thinking Mother of pear, and tyres, was liking Scwalbe super moto's, but the jury's still out

Re: My Colnago Master MTB

It's looking very regal, but with a stem like that, I'm thinking it's being set up as a trail and tow path bike, rather than a mud plugger. ;)

Re: My Colnago Master MTB

aye, your thinking is right,be rude to get it muddy , I thought the stm was for mtb, as has an integrated cable guide

I think I have to agree, much as though it goes against my nature, it would just feel wrong to abuse a machine with such poise.

I bet it'll be good at fast cx suitable type trails though.

Re: My Colnago Master MTB

That's very pretty! Mother of pearl cables? I'd like to see that but I wonder if it would be too much?

It's looking sumptuously elegant so far - Add that to 'regal' and 'poise' already collected!

Re: My Colnago Master MTB

Many thanks !
point taken, as I said, jury's still out,
Euclid did actually produce mother of pearl cables for the gruppo, but, as you say, could be a step too far
the contact points and some of the components are black, so i will probably opt for black jag wire, I will also find some vintage gumwalls for photographic purposes (keepin' it real shots )
