Mystery Lightweight Frame Find Today 50s??,Anyone Help

Hi Ned

The advert will be the 50's :D I never spotted the Ti logo on the advert until you pointed it out.

I'm not sure when "Tube Investments" became a company or started to gobble up companies. I know they bought a lot later which I'm sure included Sturmey and Brooks....

I had a geniune Cliff Pratt frame which I used as a training bike, not sure how many were made in the shop in the latter years though..

Hi guys
A while since I wrote something about this.
I have now found a suitable pair of forks for the frame.
Removed all the paint.plan is to polish up and laquer, maybe green on headstock and yellow panel on seat tube.
Any ideas on what to use for polishing.

Plan is to polish the bare frame, paint the headstock and seat post panel.
I can take some photos as is now.

You will need to use wet & dry starting with around 400 grade and work through 1200 grade up to 2000 grade to remove any marks then the bere metal would need etch primed and lacquered

Wet and dry for the bare metal?
Etched primer for the painted bits,is that right.
Then fully laquer the whole frame.

Yes
No...You need to etch prime the bare metal that you are going to lacquer
