The threads couldn't be worse than the ones in stock mounts could they

I had several pairs over the years and the threads stripped on nearly all of them, in fact the clunky mount on the DX model was a lot more reliable.

I bought the last(I think) set of polished ones on ebay for around £45.....just as nice as these
