Change to 2 springs for a firmer ride much like any other sprung fork. Maybe also change the viscosity of the oil in the rebound control cartridges.
I rebuilt one and only having a single spring used an engineering company that makes springs. Try to find a small rough as a badgers arse type of place because the big companies charge stupid amounts and talk bollocks about new tooling none of which they need.
The small firm charged me £20 to do both and probably only took him an hour.
I had crazy quotes of over £100 EACH
I also have the instruction/service manual
Have you tried Brion at Amp (brion@amp-research.com)?
They still have plenty of spare parts.
There are 3 different spring weights available for the BLT. 350/400/450Lbs. Service Manual and Parts List at AMP.
New springs were only $11 back in 2009.
