Scooter/Motorbike recommendations for a novice

That CG looks like it will need a new front wheel and headset work, which will be a bit pricey.

You just missed a £200 rxs-http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-RXS100-Spares-or-Repair-/321114253335?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item4ac3e6a817

this looks interesting-

Anything under 125 cc is pricey, might be worth getting your 33bhp test and getting a cheap 175 or so cc .

Or how about this wee beauty http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-C70-not ... 589f42970f

That is for cars. :)

Just about any minor drop on an old bike can C it.

Check the bars are straight. I once sold a bike I had spent lots of time cleaning up and painting after it had been dropped and ridden through lots of forest. So proud I was that I had extinguished all evidence of misdemeanour's, knowing them to be slight and looking much worse than they were. Forgot to straighten the bars.

Buyer, "Been off then, looking at the bars."

"Yes. Yes it has. Now you can knock me down because I never mentioned it."
you know more than I do but just for interests sake, if it has a cat c that means its registered on the insurance database as such (or how would it get the category?) and thus would need to have a certificate to get it removed? excuse my ignorance here im just wondering.

Dont touch a C70, reliable and economical yes but despite its 70cc it can be beaten off the line by any restricted modern moped. You will eventually pass said moped but they can stop on a dime, C70's cannot especially as the front forks dont dive under braking, but rise and lock up the front wheel. Nearly failed my part 1 test on a C90 because of the braking issue as skidding on an emergency stop was a fail. That was back in 96 before all this CBT and different bike test classes nonsense. Car drivers dont get placed in bhp categories when they pass their test so why pick on bikers.
Sorry, wee rant there

That old honda's great,c70's ain't that bad !,KMXs are great.

Are you getting one so you can do this?--http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWd5_02Km_M
