Thanks guys, 8 gears enough?

I will be there sporting (for a second year) a spectacularly non retro bike ....

8 gears were not enough last year

I found 8 to be a little limiting last year but that was primarily drown to fitness and experimental Alfine gear ratios .....

I'm going with 12 more this year but my fitness is (hopefully) better .....

Thanks, I'll chance it with 8. Just need to sort out lunch now.

Just trying to make a better tyre choice than I did for the HONC

Any idea how muddy it's likely to be?

Apart from the glider club field it all drains pretty well.......rigid friendly too!......the mynd is essentially a 'uge upturned bath that we ride around, up and over a few times......the climbs are loooong and painful so the only thing I wouldn't ride is a singlespeed......unless you are insane or a bit of a pervert!....

i'm 99% in!

Burger booked & bike still filthy, hey ho....

Long drive there & an early start as i'll need to leave home before 7am but it'll be worth it
