Late afternoon rides around Newbury?

I should be working in Newbury all of next week, I'm on early shifts, so should be done by 3pm. Is there anyone on here who knows some fun rides, perhaps up to Greenham Common and fancies guiding an out of towner?

Hi there,
Spookily, I'm on Earlies next week too.
I don't know any offroad routes around Newbury - my normal evening ride is out along the Kennet.
Flat - but good for gentle some miles in.
Shout if you fancy that.

Next week

Carge, bad news, we are out of sync, the rides have already happened.

Wednesday, Secret Squirrel and I headed down to Reading on the Kennet & Avon Canal, a great ride.

Thursday, I made a solo bimble around Greenham Common, taking the perimeter path and also exploring some testing single track in the woods.

I am not due back to work in Newbury any time soon

, but Squirrel is a local, works an early shift and I can thoroughly recommend him as a biking buddy. You might like his bike too, a very blingy Orange.
