I bought a Dawes

Hey Nick

Stripped it down, frame is all sound

BB was an absolute nightmare to shift - Seatpost? Still there! Haven't had time to try much

Anyone in the Exeter area got a vice? Of the workbench mounted variety that is!

Resurecting this thread as I'm wondering whatever happened to this? looks like a lovely frame i'd bust my balls for

I've still got it - got the knackered BB out of it, still has a stuck seat post though, I was gonna hack saw it off and dissolve the rest out with caustic soda

However, I've done nowt else with it. If you are serious about resurrecting the old Dawes as well as this thread, you can always PM me see if we can work something out!

What size is it?? I'm a big fella with an 18inch ranger, would really like a larger one!!
Thank god for retrobike, I love this site, where else could you find let alone haggle over a badly painted 27 year old mountain bike frame
Any other bits left over??

The cranks have had it, the wheels and the shifters were dodgy (cheapo) replacements it has it's headset, stem and bars

The stem is a very cool Sakae, headset is Hattaswan, Japanese, will clean up well

The brakes and pedals have been used on other things

The frame is 20 1/2 inches C to C
