Fitting grips

Cheapest, nastiest hairspray! Like the previous poster says, good stuff is....too good. Nobody has mentioned spray paint yet (never tried it myself).

Ever since I had some hairsprayed grips come loose in wet conditions, i've put the grips on dry, or with isopropyl alcohol. The less residue the better, as far as I'm concerned.

WD40.....

Wait a night before riding the bike though... ;)

Really??

Yep! No problem at all!!

Ditto...

...always used hairspray in the past, but as that's also where my hair now firmly is I thought I'd give the WD40 a try and it's better by far; easier to get on, especially with Brahma Bars, and easier to get off again if you prise up the edge and squirt some more down to loosen it off.

Who'd have thought it, eh?

We used to use spray paint on clear grips and it looked great ,

What's the best thing to use to clean the bars first ? Methalated spirits ?
