Who rescues the rescuers?

They regularly fly 'underneath' me when out walking the hounds round my way. Low level training in pairs. Very impressive.

Quite impressive beasts. They have that long swoopy slashing doppler sound. Sometimes see a group of them going over, very cool.

The C130s come through as well. They don't seem to go fast enough to stay airborne.

We get them over us quite often. They're never going to take anyone by surprise, except when you remember the design is about 50 years old...

Spectacular things those Chinooks, no idea how much a Sea King weighs but it must be quite a bit!

I've blown one up, that was pretty spectacular :D

RAF Odiham just down the road from us, so "overhead" quite often, but the guys are in Iraq / Afghanistan and reading the reports of bravery in local press (rarely makes the nationals :? ) is humbling and so I have no issue with the need the night training
