hell i've had motorbikes, but 140mph on skinny tall tyres and loose ground /or snow is very different to fat tires and smooth tarmac.............have done same speeds on a motor bike too, but on a mountain bike 47mph seems very fast which was the fastest i got on a steap fire road and 1.9 tyres with centre pull brakes......
