Can anyone tell me how to remove the self-extracting bolts from shimano octalink era cranks? the type with the two small holeseither side of the bolt. What kind of tool is required?

mmm ta, I tried my pin spanner (didn't know it was called that until now) that I bought to fit a royce BB but the pins are too big. I can't find any on ebay with pins less than 4mm, except a £60 one :?

I used the park tools one ? spa2 ? for my similar ones, or there is often prongs on a chainring bolt tool as I found out.

Just checked the chainring bolt tool I have. Luckily no prongs or I'd be kicking myself now. Parktool on it's way via trusty old ebay.
