It's been a long time coming, but this week I finally got the cable hanger for my GT (thanks to leem.c). This was my dream bike wa back in 1992 (when I was 12!). Spec is MK1 XTR (inc the Ti cassette) apart from XT U-brake and headset and GT qr's. 3D forks, flip-flop stem. Mint.

That's really cool, especially with the flip flop stem. Remember seeing these back in 92 in the GT catalogue, ah happy days.

shaggy, did you ever see the 1991 MBA "how to make a light bike" gt xizange 20.9lb with rockshox (RS1s!), that was a good article you might like :)

*tip* on eBay you can find some U brake pads to replace the Koolstop ones to make it perfect :!:

HI SHAGGY!!

I think I prematurely single speeded my Bonty ( I did wreck the rear wheel ). I've just built a fab new 36 spoke M950 rear so I may gear-it-back until December. Be good to ride with you soon and show you the new trails in Leigh Woods.
I have an old U brake if you need it for spares dude.
