Funny thing is, all my bikes have a no-rise stem, one even a 150mm instead of this one with 135mm..

...And thats exactly how a 90s XC race bike should be set up!

Beautiful bike!

Re: 1992 Klein Adroit Backfire

such a cool project. I think the Ultralight setup matches the frame really well. Those frames have such great attention to detail. Picking components individually instead of 'just' a complete groupset makes much more sense to me!

Both builds look amazing, you have done a really good job. Have you considered getting ETOE to spray up a slightly shorter MC1 with a bit of rise? The bike looks seriously mean and stretched. On my personal Klein the ride is so much nicer without the low stem, but I am getting older and it is a personal thing :) It would be fun to try this ultimate bike with different possibilities of front end setup. Choice of build and ride position.

Tigern, it looks fantastic.

I agree no rise is more racing, but I prefer to ride with a MC1 with rise (I am getting older too).

Waiting for your next update

Thanks guys! I'm getting older too, but i hope i can ride my Klein's with a 0-degree for some time longer.....

Next update:

Titanium spindles for the Suntour XC Pro pedals

Titanium bracket should be there as well, Ritchey tires are spotted

Well only the wheels ;)

Phwoar!!! Look at those beauties, so they do exist, result!

I would try and get some made but due to metal, tooling wear and quantities for a minimum order it's just too much money.

Well done hunting them down.
