Been using white spirits for decades now,,,Stinks,maybe not too "earth friendly",but works well and easy to obtain and cheap,yes I am a genuine oldskool cheapskate! 
Just can't bring myself to spend a fortune on modern trendy stuff,or do I just have too much knowledge of chemistry (20 plus years professionally and several bits of paper)?
Good feeling when you beat a component into submission ,,,and the winner is (your name) hands held high,round of applause!
Blood ,sweat and tears is the way to go..
