I wanted it to use all the original components that I had recovered. So the XT rear mech is the original 94 one, which I polished, but I've kept the front mech as it is to remind me of how far it has come. All XT apart from Paul's Components levers and NOS DX Thumbies.
I have a NOS XT 8sp cassette on the way...

I originally had HS22 Maguras in 1992 and I did acquire a set for this build BUT I saw the current XT V-brakes and thought they would match perfectly - can you believe they call them "trekking" brakes now!

I wanted all silver on this bike with a touch of black here and there. No colours. Even used black cable ends. ;-)
