Superlight skewers - too light ?

Bent enough skewers now to have no confidence in them at all.

Converted my bike to a solid 10mm rear axle and a 9.5mm front.

15mm track nuts make sure the wheels will not fall off, stiffened up the bike a fair bit as well, bought a cheap 15mm spanner, put it into my backpack, job done!

Not superlight I know but has anyone tried the Superstar 9 and 10 mm QR skewers , I'm thinking about them ?

I've ran the PlanetX ones on my Carbon 456 without any problems. They did advise against mtb use though!

I'd be looking at the weight of my tyres and tubes, from which you can save perhaps a hundred times the saving you can make on lighter skewers. Stick to good quality skewers with steel ride. Ti can be made very strong, but its ductile properties less stiff than steel.
