Retrobiking: living the dream!

Very envious. Great trip to do.. Blending traveling, cycling, camping with time with your children. He will never ever forget that time. It's what life should be about for most of us.

They quote in my Sig line is from book written by a tandem toting traveler who rode South from Canada down to South America picking up stokers as he went along. :)

I bought my first mountain bike when I was assistant d'anglais at a technical college just outside Cherbourg- so my first MTB trips were really trips out to WW2 locations too.

Jealous now.

I hope to do things like this with my kids, how old's your son and how long can he cope with in the saddle?

He is 10. We did a 60 mile audax last October, but generally 30 miles is about right with something else to do on the way too.
