hi
i like what you've done so far.
black ritchey seatpost goes with the black brodie stem.
black brodie brake boosters are perfect.
rictchey brakes work, but what about suntour
xc pro canti's in champagne?
big thumbs up.
roy

Thanks Roy, I am still hoping to find the WCS champagne canti's but they're not the easiest to get hold of (understatement!). I wanted the matching seatpost which is equally as hard to source so I may change the bars to some Ritchey Pro's I have in black until the seatpost turns up.
I'm pretty pleased with the way it looks at the moment and am itching to get the last of the bits I need to finish it.

Like this Adrian.

The Raceface cranks and the logic Seatpost in Black and the Brodie Stem and front forks all look ace.

Did Ritchey logic cantilever brakes come in black? now there is a thought .

Like the Ritchey direction, are you planning on Ritchey Tyres?

:)

Re: 1994 Brodie Sovereign - a bit of progress at last

Got a few more bits sorted out in the last couple of weeks. Bought some nice Ritchey Vantage Comp rims laced to DX hubs and a more period correct Ti Vector Plus Rail saddle. Swapped the canti's for ones with engraved logo's and bought some modern WCS foam grips. Also swapped the WCS ano bar for a Pro Lite in black. Just waiting for the tyres to be delivered and to find a suitable 7 speed cassette and it will be ready to finish :D

I like. Having thoughts of repainting/rebuild my Catalyst.

Re: 1994 Brodie Sovereign - a bit of progress at last

loving the wheels, very nice. The Ritchey cantilevers as well.

Prolite bars now those bring back memorys.

Might have some updates on the Dekerf soon.

Re: 1994 Brodie Sovereign - a bit of progress at last

So I finally managed to get this finished this afternoon. Here's the full spec as it stands. I need to replace the brake blocks (with black Ritchey ones ideally) and cable hangers and have a Ritchey Logic Ti saddle to collect from the post office on Monday so may fit this in place of the Vector. Other than that I think I'm done. I'm really pleased with the way it's turned out and it was a joy to take it on a quick spin around the block this afternoon. Looking forward to giving it a decent ride but not sure I can bring myself to run the nos tyres it is currently sporting. Pics coming in the next post. Comments, suggestions and criticisms all welcome.

still not quite sold on the RF colour. you know, kind of like my Syncros outer ring dilemma. not a fan of boosters, but again i understand why.

other than that, it looks real good.

how's it ride? looking at the seatpost extension from the frame, is it a tad small for you? :?

roy, if you'd like to help both of us out with a gator, we'd gladly put them on our Brodie. ;)
