97 killer caad3 finally built

posted the frame/stem/bar in bike chat sometime ago... after a bit of scouring the shack for bike parts I finally built it up. The thing weighs 25.6lbs. and I'm giving it a long distance test ride tomorrow.

Currently really enjoying my recently finished 94 Delta V. Really light and handle well even by modern standards.

I couldn't agree with you more.

I'd like to shed a couple of more lbs. from this bike so a few upgrades are planned. The headshok gives a plush ride but seems to be on the softside for my taste. I think I lose a third of the travel from sag (designed that way?)

After my maiden ride yesterday I replaced the horrible Amoeba grips with my favorite Michelin gel grips. Loosened the tension on the SPD pedals and also replaced the stock seatpost saddle cradle as it creaks (problem solved) and then tweaked the shifting due to cable stretch. Now it's close to perfect.

replacing the WTB Rocket saddle with this one... seems like the saddle of choice here altho a little on the late model
