90's steel Kona's

Hi folks. Can anyone tell me what year Kona started building frames with geometry compensated for suspension forks? I currently have a 2008 Lanai, which I bought back then as a play bike. At the time I had a serious XC bike, so I bought a smaller size than I would normally, so I could chuck it about a bit more.

Since then the XC bike has been sold and turned into a(nother) road bike, and the Kona has been upgraded and is brilliant to ride, but still a bit too small. I'd really like a 90's steel Kona in a larger size to build into another XC bike. I used to have a '92 Cinder Cone, which had rigid, non P2 forks and rode really well. Since I have some decent sus forks(Fox F80), I think i'm gonna need a frame adjusted to suit. Am I right?

Regards

Marge
