BB fixed cup tool holder on to save the tool slipping off those rather tight fixed cups. Can alternatively be used Sheldonbrown style on those really stuck cups.

Headset press. Quite elaborate for a homemade tool eh!

Both courtesy of my dad :D

I've shown you mine now you show me yours ;)

I needed a cone spanner so whilst in at my LBS I enquired to buying one, sadly they only had cheap Chinese crap that would have lasted a week so I left without making a purchase. I came home and took a 14mm open ended spanner from my tool box and filed it down until it was slim enough for the job. It works perfectly and will outlast me

I have a crude version of the headset press, basically the same as yours but I use a pair of spanners to tighten the bolts.

Works well enough but too ugly to show pictures of it

Does the Sheldon Brown BB tool really work just by friction between the tool and the BB cup alone, or am I missing something?
I tried it a couple of times and it didn't work, then I got lucky and found a Hozan fixed cup tool for about £30.

Another headset press. I want to replace the wood with copper when I find something suitable. The handle is an old steel and very heavy handlebar from a BSO.

what is that little thing? Its a 5mm spanner! I have a set of spanners that goes down to 6mm and it was £15 for a spanner set that had only one spanner I didn't yet own. Off to the milling machine I went...
