off topic but too much: Cancellara's assisted pedalling

After the initial report by Casani, the UCI implemented an x-ray scanner for bikes. Prob not at all races but it was put in the rules.

There were a few points of note in the race this year. namely:

. soon after Sagan lost his wheel, a race MOTO split FC and Sagan.

. then once Sagan was dropped, he waited for Roelandts so they could 2-up.

. chasing pack dropped tempo a bit, evidenced by Gatto getting a flat and returning to the chase group, same for Thomas who crashed.

Seems once he went there was not such a hurry to catch him. Still, 2 mins faster from the top of the Patenberg than last year and he was in a headwind. over 49km/h for that last stretch.

That is fast.

Monster.

He's just done something similar in the Paris Roubaix.

Dropped back from the group, chatted to te team car and then put the power down to regain the group and pass them with ease. He's an incredible rider in one day events and controls his pace so well.
