The open c version is clearly the rarest, but other than that one would just select the correct shifter for the year of the bike. If I recall correctly they did not evolve much over the years other than the shifter pads themselves got thicker because of the bending problem which can be seen in the third choice.

I have Campag on the tandem for 9 speed. A pair of which sold on the bay for £90+ the other day. :shock:

Suntour for 70's & 80's bikes are much better IMHO
