I bought the frame, forks and bars last year. Since then its been hanging in my store whilst I spent most of my weekends & spare time working on my house (by order of the Mrs!).
So, after following wookies project it gave me the inspiration to get on with my Team Marin. Over the last few months I have managed to source a full XT group set, some NOS, but mainly all in excellent condition. Also managed to pick up some nice silver Mavic M231 rims.
I am using some new parts such as a new sealed bottom bracket, kool stop break pads and charge splashback tyres.
The frame, forks and bars have seen better days but are honest looking for their age. I might get the pink bits resprayed later in the year but to be honest I quite like the look of them as they are. I do also have a new set of decals to go on as well. The only down side is the handle bars have been cut down by 2 inches. So I am on the look out for a some replacement uncut bars.
Still work in progress, but thought I would post some pics...

Looking good chap.. When I bought mine the bars had been cut down to about 12 inches so had some '94 marin lite bars coated at the same place as Wookiee.. much lighter too.

Stickers look good, are they the originals?

Geez these Team Marins are just so common now! Looking good Mark the decals seem to be pretty clean too. Will watch this one with interest!

Quick update...
Nearly finished, waiting for the new Tange Prestige frame sticker to come through the post & I need a new 7 speed cassette because the chain keeps slipping.

Also it can only be a flite in mmy opinion just look so cool the perfect blend of style and comfort! Now to get out on it! I may not be the lightest but defo the most agile I have ridden in a while.
