adjustment problem xtr m952 front derailleur

Hi,
I have problems with XTR m952 front derailleur. I using it on 3x9 system with Shimano XT 770 shifters. If I adjust to shift it on second chainring, its not shift back, if I adjust to shift back it not comes on 1st chainring. I tried to change height of it, but with no good. Anyone have same problem with it? Sorry for my English.
 
Sometimes you have to set the cable a bit loose using the limit screws to control the lowest position, does that make sense?

it happens, you shouldn't use small-small the worst possible chain line.
