The postage rates in the US have skyrocketed as well which has taken a huge chunk of the profit out of my eBay business. I had already come to the conclusion that it wasn't worth my time to sell anything cheaper than $10 as the commissions to both ebay and paypal resulted in less than 40% for me. But now I have to supplement the shipping cost as well in order to be competitive so I am listing everything starting at $20. (if I can't get $20 then I put the item in a did not sell box to be sold as a lot) I have done very well on ebay, everything in the Bike Garage was purchased with the proceeds from bike sales, water bottles, catalogs and magazines, but if the shipping gets much higher I am going to lose my customer base.
