that new fangled music stuff - guess the bike ?

BSP - one of my favourite bands - have "previous" on the Retrobike front; Carlton Corsairs get name-checked on No Lucifer, whilst I'm sure one of them sported a vintage cycling jersey for a Hootenanny appearance with Jools Holland back in December 2008.

The title of this track is a Ray Bradbury reference, but to my mind the line "magnificent machineries of joy" pretty much sums up how I feel about bikes. :)

What a great find and great video. Somehow that captures everything that makes you want to rush outside and get on your bike. No helmet either, like in the good ole days :)

There's a post on YouTube suggesting an Allin?

Oddly enough, Fred Williams led me to another great band The Black Keys: http://vimeo.com/37862325

Not the only Black Keys recommendation I've had in recent weeks, so....on a trip to HMV yesterday I picked up a reduced copy of El Camino and am suitably impressed with it. At the same time, bought the new British Sea Power album which is excellent (as expected), plus Suede's Bloodsports - Brett Anderson & co. sound every bit as good as they did 20-ish years ago (blimey - I am showing my age!!).
