LEVER QUESTION

Got some of the pictured levers ..........

where the cable goes into the adjuster seems to be massive compared to the cable ( 5 mm )

the adjuster must be about 8 / 9 mm , makes the cable look really loose in there

is this normal ? seems rather large

always used shifters / levers so no idea if this is ok

Back in the days the SLR cable was much thicker, hence a bigger outer cable, so yes its normal if your using the new SLR cable.

this is what i was thinking , but what thickness was the old cable ?

got some old cable off the pine mountain and even this looks small ?

suppose i could swap the adjusters out ?

The old cables also had a plastic coating around the barrel, so it fits perfectly in the hole. I have a pair on my Nishiki. I bought them in a shop (old stock and a bit dusty) only to find out I already had a set in my basement :?

No probs of course...new projects will arrive
