1993 Orange Prestige

Dragged the Prestige out again today, what a ride. The bike just seems to lap everything up !

Worth every penny and every minute spent on it !

You're right, those Prestige frames are pure class :)

Looks like it was a good (if cold) ride, a bit of snow always makes for some comedy moments

Anyone know what the standard fit bar stem would have been for the 1993 Orange Prestige ?

If not what would be correct for the year.

Thanks

Stalk/stalk lite stem with ramrod/hotrod bars probably.
Catalogue is on the archive.

To much choice for period stems and bars ;-)

I have the 150mm Tioga T-Bone Prestige fitted but I get neck ache after about ten minutes of riding hehe.

The bike had a shorter T-Bone with a higher rise when I bought it, unfortunately I sold the stem soon after the purchase DOH !

I need something like a 130mm with a higher rise. Less of an extreme XC style.

Can't find the 1993 catalogue for the life of me.......

Zoom crop up on eBay and are nice good stems.

I used to get neck ache on mine after i started riding again, but after a while riding them it went away, guess the muscles got used to it.

Orange archive is here, http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/v/M ... e+Archive/

Use, Syncros, Attack and probably, control tech are all common stems/bars in the higher ranges. Only the control tech would look right in my opinion.

I fitted a Control Tech stem to my Prestige in '94, they were quite a popular mod at the time.

Do you happen to know what diameter seatpost these frames take? Would quite like to find a Lite Stik for mine.
