Actually, when I've bought the Manitou HT new in 96, I had a Mach 5 SX.
I've always loved the Mag 21 but never had one
Today, 17 years later, I want my Mag 21 . IMO it looks more "vintage" than the the Manitou, it's also a myth in the MTB history :mrgreen:
And, as merckx told: it's a bit "cheeky" :mrgreen:

The Manitou is almost finished!
I've received my Syncros handlebar.
I'm now waiting for the lower part of the headset. Actually I lost this part 4 or 5 years ago (a 1 1/4 - 1 1/8 reducer). I've sent an email to WOODman, the manufacturer... and he made the part for me! :shock: Honestly, I've to say that they offer an amazing service! :shock: They are so gentle and professional, that's just great! Thanks to Paul Vanhoutte and Chelsea!! :xmas-wink:
I've also purchased on ebay.us this great banner "Answer Manitou Racing" (11 x 39 inches).

Finally it's finished
It took a bit longuer than I expected :?
Actually, it has been a real pain in the a** because of the soo long steering tube :facepalm: I've had to use a steering tube extender !
Except from that that was great to see my HT coming back to life
The only thing I'm not sure... The pedals: SPD or not ? :?:
Anyway, I love it like that :mrgreen:

From a distance it looks a tidy color co-ordinated build but not one for the period correct purists.

Which forks came on it originally?

Mate thats really nice i didn't really like it at first but now i really do love them decals on they finished it off nicely

Actually it's a 20" but indeed the head tube is huuuuge :shock: :mrgreen:
The original fork was a Manitou Mach 5 SX.
