Black crackle/textured paint finish (Bontrager bar ends)

I have some Bontrager Magnesium bar ends (finally) and though solid they require refinishing.
Now part of that appeal was a matte textured finish which i wold like to faithfully replicate.

does anyone know if there are any paints that give such a finish or how it can be achieved?

rubberised spray paint perhaps , might be nice and grippy for bar ends

also plastic bumper spray paint might give that effect.

it actually looks like they have been sprayed on a cold day or the can hasnt been shaken , so maybe doing that or making the hole a bit bigger might work.

i havent tried any of these things mind you

Try the car restoration company" Frost"

Black crackle paint was used on a lot of 60's sports car & race car dashboards.

I think PJ1 may do something simlar for engine cases, goes crackly when baked.
