Pitted Aluminium

Im doing a major overhaul of my beloved 1997 Kona King Kikapu,the aluminium has a lot of pitting and it really lets the bike down,Im tempted as a last resource to vapour blast it and powder coat it.Is there an aggressive paste that will clear the pitting?

I'd just get it soda blasted and powdercoated

Good question - I'm sure you'll get plenty of inspiration if you do a quick search on the forum.

Or you could just re-polish it once it's been soda blasted - or just leave it naked. I think that would look great

you sure it's pitting and not just the laquer looking tired..if it is then look up dossa's cure for removing laquer with tin foil..quite good results
