:cry: the part I am after is not longer made so ebay and forums are my hope; ironically there were 3 of this item about a month ago that I did not bid on, went for low prices too ... another on ebay last night went for £ 51 so kinda kicking myself I did not bid on the earlier ones .... but no matter sooner or later the stuff you are after pops up (except that specific model of Gary Fisher bike that I regret not buying way way back in time. :? )

hi, nice bike you have there. can you tell me what the original fork was like, how it compares to a fox equivelent ? and how does the rear shock perform ? i ask because i to am considering buying one of these. thanks.

Sorry, I can't comment on the X Fusion Velvet forks as I didn't ride the bike while they were fitted and I've never ridden a bike with Fox forks. From what I've read they get pretty good reviews and weren't any heavier than the Pace forks I replaced them with.

As for the X Fusion rear shock, this is my first full suspension bike so I don't really have anything to compare it with apart from the RP23 that was fitted to the demo bike.
It took me a few rides to get the shock set up correctly and stop it bottoming out but that was just a case of adding air to it. Again the O2 RCX seems to be getting good reviews from most users once it is set up for each rider but I suppose that's the same with all shocks. It doesn't feel any different to the RP23 that was on the demo bike now it's set up to my riding style and it feels nice & plush when being hammered downhill and the compression lever works well for on the fly adjustments.

Haven't updated this for a while but there's been a few changes afoot over the winter including a change of fork from the 150mm Pace Fighters to 130mm DT Swiss XMC130's with a 15mm QR axle rather than standard QR, Thomson All Mountain carbon bars, Shimano SPD's and a set of 2014 Hope Hoops with the new Pro2 Evo 40tooth rear hub & Arch EX rims.
Decided to change the forks for lower travel because the geometry didn't feel quite right while climbing, was finding it very difficult to keep the front wheel on the ground with the long travel pushing me too far back over the rear wheel.
I'm yet to ride it properly since completing all the recent mods but hopefully will be able to get out this weekend. Only one more thing I want to add and thats a dropper post.

Been nearly a year since the last update and a theres been a few more changes to the Mojo, even though in my last update I said all I wanted to add was a dropper post, I just can't help myself and have made changes to the drivetrain, rear shock, aesthetics of the wheels & finally added the dropper post!

The drivetrain was 2x10 but over the last year of riding I can't remember the last time I used the 'big' ring upfront so I decided to go 1x10 with these new fangled narrow/wide Hope 30T chainrings and also add a 40T Hope T-Rex cassette ring on the back. The original setup of the chainset was 38/26 with an 11/36 cassette so with the 30T upfront and the 40T on the rear its not far off the original ratio's. Dumping the duo chainset also meant I could lose the front mech & shifter and make more room on the bars to fit the R/H dropper post remote under the bar in-between the brake lever & grip as a L/H remote

Out of curiosity more than anything else really I've fitted a Fox CTD rear shock which replaces the X-Fusion O2 RCX, one came up at a very good price and again, I couldn't resist...
And finally, I've removed the decals from the rims giving them a more stealth look while repositioning the 'Stans No Tubes' logo's next to the valves

Thats it, I think my tweeking is finished for the time being or until I stumble across more bling that I can't resist buying!

Skewer levers are on the lh side. Its the law you know.

I don't know why but all DT Swiss bolt through forks have the release lever on the right hand side
