What do you think of these stems?

I think that they're by far one of the best aluminum alloy bicycle stems which is available for all mountain biking.

i would be dubious about the build quality of these. my mate had one and it was sketchy to say the least. ;)

If you want to ride with the knowledge that the stem might snap at any moment, be my guest.

I'd suggest getting a real one. The £20-ish price difference ain't worth risking your life for (hopefully)

I'd rather not, plenty of good value known-quantity parts about, big online compainies and even On One do some of their own.

Everything is made in China anyway

Yes, a lot of it (not all) but the decent stuff has, hopefully, some sort of QA in place whereas the really cheap stuff may not, which is why I wouldn't buy cheap bars, stems or anything else, that if it fails, is likely to result in significant injury.
So, genuine Truvative stems yes, ultra cheap copies, no.

What he said.
Loads of Curries are made in Rusholme, not all of them are safe and tasty! :D Brand, experience, and hygiene scoring helps!
