Bar tape recommendations

if it is on a retro build i would go with cotton bar tape. if too thin then double wrap.

Cotton bar tape only for me. I'd rather have the padding in my gloves.

Cinelli cork with a pair of the cinelli milano plugs (SJS Cycles online sell them in different colours, much better than the black ones supplied) for me every time , but depends on how old the bike is. Cotton tape if mid 70's or earlier, padding in the gloves for me too
